Program Information

What you will be learning in this program:

  • Blueprint reading

  • SMAW - Shielded Metal Arc Welding

  • GMAW - Gas Metal Arc Welding

  • FCAW - Flux Cored Arc Welding

  • GTAW - Gas Tungsten Arc Welding

  • Plasma Cutting

  • Ox-Fuel Cutting and Ox-Fuel Welding

The program is designed to give students an overall understanding of the design and engineering of weldments and implementation of welding processes. Students who complete this program will be able to go on to complete an A.A.S degree in Welding or a B.S. in Welding Engineering Technology.

In addition to high school credit, students will have the opportunity to earn college credit through Red Rocks Community College with concurrent enrollment. The courses will go towards their A.A.S. degree in Welding. Students earn Intermediate Algebra credit during their 2nd and 3rd semesters in the program. This credit does count towards Jeffco Public Schools graduation requirements.

Afternoon Session - 12:30pm - 3:30pm
