Automotive Technology
Overview
Are you a team player, self-motivated, a problem-solver, precise and persistent? Can you follow instructions, focus, understand math and physics and lift heavy loads? Would you like to work with a coordinated team, work independently, work with precision tools, troubleshoot problems and work on a variety of vehicles?
Anyone who has had car trouble knows the value of a skilled auto technician. The ability to diagnose problems with engines as well as mechanical or electrical systems comes from having a sharp, analytical mind.
The satisfaction of implementing the needed repairs makes this career challenging, stimulating and financially rewarding. Students in the Automotive Technology program work with up-to-date equipment on late-model cars as they learn the skills necessary to become National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certified technicians. Internship possibilities can give the Warren Tech student both experience and a boost into the workforce. This Automotive Technology program is ASE Education Foundation certified.
