Cosmetology: Esthetics
Overview
Are you personable, independent, artistic and enthusiastic? Do you enjoy working with people? Would you like to work with your hands, work in a spa or salon or teach make-up techniques?
The Esthetics program offers a fast-paced, hands-on environment for students to learn the basics in one of the fastest-growing occupations in the personal care field. As specialists in the area of skincare, estheticians deliver a variety of services that help clients look and feel their best. Estheticians not only cleanse and refine the skin through facials, but they also educate their clients on how to take better care of their skin. Students will learn the latest innovative techniques, in addition to having internship opportunities.
The 600-hour program provides a varied experience that helps prepare students for the written and practical examinations for the State Board of Cosmetology.
