Cosmetology: Hairstyling
Overview
Are you friendly, self-motivated, artistic and creative? Do you enjoy making people feel good about themselves? Do you enjoy fashion and talking with people?
Hairstyling and design is both a science and an art. In addition to styling and cutting hair, students of the hairstyling program learn a wide variety of coloring options and chemical straightening or chemical texturizing. Learning safe and efficient salon practices helps to prepare students for the future while hands-on internships prepare students for the written and practical examinations for the State Board of Cosmetology.
