Emergency Medical Services
Overview
From the big cities to small towns, austere environments on land and sea EMT's are on the forefront of first contact emergency care. The demand for emergency services is experiencing a huge surge in demand, and the Warren Tech EMS Academy is the foundational piece to launch you into a career as a first responder.
The EMT Academy takes on a gradual and inspired climb from civilian to responder. With the pinnacle being graduating at the end of year as a National Registered EMT with all of the certifications to be qualified as a new provider in the emergency community. EMT certification is also the genesis of a further degree in paramedicine and careers as a firefighter, paramedic, registered nurse, medical doctor and military.

Prerequisites:
- Exclusively for 12th-grade students.
- Students should be aware this course includes sensitive and/or graphic material.
- Must provide proof of up-to-date immunizations, current influenza vaccination and TB test results.
- Students must provide transportation to and from clinical sites.
- Second-semester enrollment is not guaranteed.
- EMT candidates will need to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 (2 shots Moderna or Pfizer/1 shot J&J), boosters are not required.
- This is in addition to being fully immunized, flu shot, TB skin test, drug screen, and background check.
- If students are not vaccinated, they will need to submit a medical or religious exemption from Centura Health.
- Students who enroll in this program are required to participate in clinical experiences in healthcare facilities, such as hospitals and assisted living centers. Warren Tech's healthcare industry partners require participants to meet the vaccination requirements of their facilities. You will be asked to provide proof that you have fulfilled these requirements to participate in this Warren Tech program.
