Film & Media Arts
Overview
Do you love movies? Are you creative, imaginative, focused and resourceful? Does writing scripts, directing, filming, editing and producing sound like fun? Want to create something more than a home video and tell a story?
Take your video skills to the next level! Film & Media Arts gets you ready for a career in broadcast television or further education in the film and video industry. Students learn lighting, sound production, non-linear editing, camera techniques, composition, broadcast journalism, communication skills and storytelling, all in a state-of-the-art video production studio.

Prerequisites (2nd Year Students)
- Eligible students must have passed all Warren Tech Film & Media Arts first year classes with a C or better and passed all certifications.
- Eligible students must have assisted on 2 events per semester (beginning Spring 2025).
- Eligible students will obtain a recommendation from the instructor.

College credits
Students can earn students can earn up to 9.0 free credits through Red Rocks Community College, plus earn an Introduction to Videography Certificate.
High School credits
First semester:

- 1.0 Audio and Visual Production II
- 0.5 English Language Arts 11 or 12
