Fire Science & First Responder

Are you interested in serving your community? Are you interested in pursuing a career as a firefighter or EMT? Are you self-disciplined and mentally alert? Do you show good judgment in stressful situations? Do you enjoy working closely with others as part of a cohesive team?

Warren Tech's Fire Science/First Responder program introduces students to the fire science and emergency medical response fields and prepares them for post-secondary study and/or entry-level job placement. Firefighters carry hoses, climb ladders, and battle fires large and small. In addition, fire departments require firefighters to be certified as emergency medical technicians or paramedics. In fact, most calls to which firefighters respond involve medical emergencies. Upon successful completion of this course, the student will receive CPR certification.
