Outdoor Leadership
Overview
Want to share your love of the natural world with others? Do you demonstrate sound judgment in challenging situations? Are you a natural leader?
Outdoor Leadership is designed to give students an introduction to a wide variety of outdoor career paths. This program's focus is turning adventurers into confident and competent outdoor leaders through practical experience and hands-on instruction.
During the first year of this intensive two-year program, students will be equipped with the tools to become the next generation of leaders in the fields of outdoor recreation, adventure education, environmental education and natural resource management.
The second year offers students the opportunity to gain real leadership experience on the “challenge course,” co-lead activities for first-year students, have industry job shadow opportunities and get the chance to explore other aspects of the outdoor industry.
